CHILDREN’S MIXED MARTIAL ARTS (7-12)

Starting at age 7! Build your child’s confidence with our unique curriculum that encourages success. Our older children (ages 7-12), are given workbooks and are expected to complete pages with questions about techniques related to their next belt requirement.

This gives a visual representation of progress as well as provides the instructor with an opportunity to highlight things that need work.

Our children’s mixed martial arts program is structured to help build leadership qualities in many unique ways: confidence, work ethic, patience, empathy, coordination, determination, self esteem, self discipline, anger management, humility, and self control.

BOXING

Our Boxing classes are the ultimate culmination of high-intensity cardio and professional Boxing instruction. The classes are 50-minutes long and cover basic offensive punching techniques and basic defenses, with a blast of ‘boot-camp’ atmosphere.

Over the course of the class, participants may be asked to partner-up with other members or work on a heavy bag for various drills, or hold mitts for each other, but never make contact with one-another. This class is suitable for anyone interested in learning basic Boxing technique or even those who just want to get an intense workout. While some of our members choose to seek additional competition training, most are in it purely for the fitness element.

KICKBOXING

Our Kickboxing classes are fast-paced and fun for everyone! This is a great whole-body workout for everyone from the novice to professional fighter.

Based on the kickboxing art developed in Thailand. Muay Thai class teaches the basic strikes and defenses used in this sport including knees, elbows, kicks to the leg, clinches, and dumps. Great for fitness, self defense, and competition.

BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) is a Martial Art with a focus on ground fighting. BJJ has been proven to be effective for self-defense as well as competition. Our BJJ program produces competitors at all levels.

BJJ is a competition sport. Like Japanese jujitsu, BJJ features throws, as well as joint locks and chokes, influenced by competition-orientated judo. BJJ focuses on grappling on the floor and features no striking.

MORNING FIGHT FITNESS

From 6:00am to 8:00am, students may drop in for a 30 minute fighter training workout. Each day is a different high intensity interval training workout focusing on explosive Mixed Martial Arts fight skills, muscle strength, conditioning, and aerobic endurance.

Short intervals of extremely high-intensity exercise requires a tremendous amount of oxygen, during both the work interval and the recovery periods. As a result, this type of workout will train your body to tolerate, and quickly recover from, periods of high-intensity exercise.

This is a mixed martial arts class covering boxing, kickboxing, and grappling techniques.

YOGA WITH DENISE

Vinyasa is a breath initiated practice that connects every action of our life with the intention of moving towards what is sacred, or most important to us. This class is a dynamic sequence of postures which all connect to each other using your breath. We begin slow, and build on the sequence depending on your individual level. This creates a marriage of our movement and our breath, creating balance in our bodies, our minds, and spirits.

WOMEN’S FIGHT FITNESS

Women’s Fight Fitness is a 50 minute Mixed Martial Arts inspired workout that is taught by women, for women. This women’s only class will challenge you aerobically while teaching you practical self defense moves, increasing your strength, and improving your flexibility. Kick, punch, and train your way to a healthier you.

3 hours for your kids to play games, practice technique, meet new friends, and have some fun! A snack is provided. This event is open to the public. Ages 4+

BIRTHDAY PARTIES

Celebrate your birthday at No Joke! Party packages are $150 for a 2 hour celebration for up to 10 kids. Each additional child is $15. Your party includes martial arts fun, games, a pinata stuffed with candy, and time for cutting your brought from home cake with a real Samurai sword! Please supply your own paper/plastic tablewares for your guests.

SUMMER CAMP

Have a fun-filled camp experience with No Joke Mixed Martial Arts! Spend the summer months learning how to become a ninja, fight like a samurai, care for animals, and more! Each camp starts at 8:30 am and ends at 4:00 pm. Early drop-off and/or late pick-ups are available for an extra $5. $150 per week or $50 per day.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We do have a few pairs of loaner boxing gloves and mitts, but highly recommend that you purchase your own. We have options available for purchase on site.
Our children’s classes start at 4 years old, and our adult classes start at 13 years old.
Yes, most of our classes are co-ed. We do offer an adult women’s only class on Saturdays at 9:00am.

Absolutely! Our instructors will make sure you work on the basics and start your journey with good form. Our classes are all levels, giving you an opportunity to work with partners of all levels to help you improve and grow in your training.

We require a uniform for our children’s classes, provided to you by us. Students are encouraged to layer comfortably underneath the uniform.

We do not require a dojo specific uniform for the adult classes, however, appropriate fitness attire is preferred.

BJJ classes require a gi.
